Our teams are our greatest asset, and we are committed to employing and training the best people.NZCL is looking for two energetic and motivated Team Leaders to work alongside, coach and mentor rangatahi and tamariki, in our Intensive Support Services in Christchurch.There will be a mixture of morning, afternoon, and evening shifts spanning across the week, so having the flexibility to support your team across a variety of shifts is a key part of this role.We have two positions available : One 6-month fixed term contract with a potential extension to 12 months.One permanent positionWhat does a Team Leader do?

What does a Support Worker do?

You will : Work as a team to ensure consistency in your approach.Support tamariki or rangatahi to go to school or access education.Observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the young person.Support rangatahi / young people to work towards and attain their goals and improve outcomes.What do you get?

| Ko wai ta tatou e rapu anaA desire to support our rangatahi / young people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.Minimum Level 3 Health and Wellbeing qualification (or equivalent)Previous experience working with young people / rangatahi.An understanding of Intellectual Disability and Autism.A strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Maori and Pasifika customs and cultural norms would be advantageous.The ability to speak Te Reo Maori would be a bonus.Creativity 'out of the box' thinking and a team player.A full NZ driver's license.Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.If you are passionate about supporting people, then maybe there is a role for you here.
