Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
The Business School is seeking to appoint two Professional Teaching Fellows – Business Communication (Undergraduate). Working closely with, and reporting to, the Team Lead, these positions will design, develop, and deliver embedded business communication teaching that improves student learning outcomes and graduate employability across undergraduate programmes. This includes collaborative pedagogical support to academic staff, implementing culturally responsive teaching practices for diverse student populations, and supporting assessment redesign initiatives that embed communication skills within disciplinary content.
These are full-time (40 hours per week), fixed-term appointments of 36 months. We are looking to appoint PTFs at Step 1–3. The salary range for this role is $103,717 – $125,554 per annum, depending on the level of appointment. The successful appointees will hold a postgraduate qualification in English, language, communication, or a related discipline. Qualifications in other fields may be considered depending on relevant expertise.
Skills
In addition to being effective teachers with relevant tertiary teaching experience in language teaching, academic literacies, or communication skills, you will have :
Preferred : Minimum of three years’ experience working with international students at tertiary level.
