ABOUT THE ROLE – MŌ TĒNEI TŪRANGA

We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative leader to manage our NZ Public Practice and CPD team. Based in Wellington, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our members uphold high ethical and professional standards, while helping NZICA meet its statutory responsibilities.

You’ll lead initiatives to modernise processes, develop tools and resources to support member compliance, and foster strong stakeholder relationships. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the integrity and excellence of the accounting profession in Aotearoa.

Key Responsibilities will include :

  • Overseeing member compliance with NZ Public Practice Rules and CPD obligations
  • Design and deliver the continuous improvement program to streamline our regulatory processes
  • Managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and collaborating across CA ANZ to deliver a world-class member experience
  • Developing tools and resources to support members in complying with their obligations
  • Collaborating across CA ANZ to deliver a world-class member experience
  • Respond to member queries relating to Public Practice Rules

    You’re a confident and inclusive leader with a passion for regulatory excellence. You bring :

  • Significant experience in professional services, regulation, or a similar environment
  • Strong understanding of NZ business structures and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven experience with process improvement and driving innovation in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver outcomes
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (BCA, BCom, LLB or equivalent); CA ANZ membership desirable
