Help Shape The Future of Our RangatahiThe Refugee Orientation Centre (ROC) Trust is seeking 22-25-year-old change-makers to guide and inspire high school students from migrant and refugee backgrounds through guided mentoring programmes.What You'll Do : Deliver a guided mentoring programme for high school students with migrant or refugee backgroundsWork alongside a facilitator who will provide coaching during sessionsMentor high school students helping them discover their voicesBuild students' confidence and encourage them to explore ways to shape their future.What You'll Gain : Structured guidance so you're never thrown in the deep endReal-world impact through direct engagement with rangatahiA personalized testimonial from the facilitator at the end of the programmeConnection with a diverse group of peers working towards positive changeRequirements : Must be aged between 22–25 years old.High energy, empathetic, and compassionate towards youth.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Reliability and commitment to agreed hours of 4 hours a week.Passion for making a difference in your community and in the lives of others.Previous youth work or mentoring experience is great, but not essential as training is provided.A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.Time commitment : 4 hours per week, over 10 weeks.Approx.
