The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is responsible for training, educating and representing psychiatrists in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. About the role
We are recruiting for two identified positions that play an important role in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members and staff through meaningful cultural planning and engagement.
In this role, you’ll help bring the College’s commitment to life, ensuring psychiatric care is culturally safe, responsive, and accessible by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. You’ll work closely with staff to develop and deliver personalised Cultural Support Plans that recognise, respect, and strengthen individual and community connections to culture.
You’ll also contribute to the success of key initiatives by coordinating and providing guidance on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander–related projects and programs, including the Specialist Training Program (STP) and the Psychiatry Interest Forum (PIF). Monitoring, reflecting on, and celebrating progress will be an important part of how you help these initiatives grow and thrive.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you will bring knowledge and / or lived experience of the issues impacting access to healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and professionals.
