Job description

My tier one client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team winning projects and delivering civil and three waters projects that sit around the 5 - 15 million dollar mark.

This position involves managing around 5 engineers and leading project delivery on smaller projects while being involved and taking a hot seat in the tendering and bid process to win your team the larger pipeline of work. You will have experience working in a tier 2 or tier 1 civil contractor in NZ at Project Management level and ideally have worked your way up from being a Site Engineer!

In addition to the above :

  • You are experienced in roading, earthworks, water, utilities & more.
  • You have great leadership skills with subcontractor and suppliers.
  • People enjoy working alongside and with you.
  • Projects that you are responsible for run on time and on budget.
  • Ensure jobs are carried out to job specifications, company policies and relevant legislation, codes and regulations.

    • Do you bring…

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in managing the delivery of projects in the Civil Construction industry in NZ. (no visa sponsorship)
  • Hold a Bachelor of civil Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Full and clean class 1 driver's licence.
  • Strong industry relationships and connections.
  • Strong financial and commercial management knowledge.
  • Solid experience with job pricing including materials, labour and plant and associated margin / profit calculations.
  • Familiar with NZS 3910, Construction Contracts Act, NEC Contracts.
  • Competent users of CCS Candy, Word, Excel and Project.
