The focus will be on preparing for weekend discharge activities and supporting staff in their execution.Work days : Friday, Saturday, and Sunday onlyOpportunity for experienced Registered Nurses to be seconded to this position does exist please apply.About the Team / Service / LocationYou will be part of the Integrated Operations Centre team, reporting to the IOC Nurse Manager with most of your work based in Ward 3AB and Ward 4AB.

You will also work closely with our patients, their whanau, complex discharge coordinators, doctors, clinical nurse managers, and allied health teams.For more information on living and working in Taranaki click hereAbout youTo be successful in this role, you will need to be a registered nurse who demonstrates the ability to work semi-autonomously, with a strong appreciation for teamwork, clinical assessment, risk assessment, and initiative.RequirementsMinimum of 4 years as a Registered NurseStrong background in medical, orthopaedic, and surgical nursingConfidence in patient advocacy and working with familiesCommitment to maintaining a high standard of clinical practiceAdaptability and enthusiasm for participating in quality improvement projectsUnderstanding of the discharge process and acute flow principals that underpin thisWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
