About the role - Mō te tūranga In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for identifying, securing, and expanding strategically important customers, managing high value bids and tenders, and leading complex negotiations.Additionally, you will : Shape market strategy – develop and execute growth plans to enter new markets and expand share. Drive commercial excellence – leverage analytics, CRM insights, and pricing strategy to maximise conversion and revenue. Embed best practice – uplifting sales processes, pipeline management, and reporting across the business. Collaborate cross-functionally – work closely with operations, finance, commercial, and IT teams to deliver seamless, value-driven solutions. Mentor future talent – share your expertise and help grow sales capability across the national team. 10+ years’ experience in transport, logistics, or supply chain, with proven success in national business development. Exceptional negotiation skills Strategic thinking and strong commercial acumen Demonstrated success in winning and growing major accounts Resilience, adaptability, and drive to succeed in a competitive market. CRM experience, Salesforce desirable.
