Position DescriptionAiredale Property Trust (APT) is a property investment, management, and development trust affiliated with the Methodist Church (MMN) of New Zealand.

Together, the Three Trusts (MMN, APT, and Lifewise) directly manage a variety of social services, social housing, retirement villages, and retail and residential properties.Finance provides shared services across Airedale Property Trust, The Lifewise Trust, and Methodist Mission Northern.You will assist with providing the Trusts with accurate and timely information to support strategic and operational planning.

The successful candidate will have over three years of experience in a similar role, with an eye for detail and the ability to work in a complex and changing environment.

A can-do attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

This role offers variety and the opportunity to utilize existing skills while taking on new challenges for growth.Three Trust ValuesCompassion (Arohanui)Courage (Maia)Respect (Whakaute)Integrity (Ngakau Pono)Reporting StructureWho You Report To : Group Financial ControllerWho Reports To Me : You will have no direct reports.Key Working RelationshipsInternal : Service leads and key workersExternal : Customers, suppliers, and residentsDelegation LevelAs per The Three Trusts Policy on Delegated AuthoritiesResponsibilitiesInvoicing contract income, property management fees, and ad hoc invoicing as required.Processing of recurring rent invoices for tenant accounts.Managing income-related rent subsidy (IRRS) claims.Credit control of contract income.Allocation of customer invoices.Bank reconciliations.Providing cover for the Accounts Services Manager during leave.Assisting with month-end close and reconciliations.Supporting finance business partners and internal customers.Supporting statutory audits.Participating in ad hoc work and projects as required.Performing general administrative tasks and supporting all finance functions.Working independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.Note : Performance standards are provided as a guide; performance measures will be discussed during performance planning and review.Skills & Experience NeededRelevant qualification in accounting or finance is desirable but not essential.Over 3 years of experience in a similar role with high volumes.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is beneficial but not necessary.Proficiency with MS Office applications; advanced Excel skills are desirable.Understanding of finance processes.Excellent communication skills.Organized with proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Quality and results-oriented with high attention to detail.Ability to work independently and in a team.Legal and permanent right to work in New Zealand.
