Following an exciting internal promotion, we’re seeking a Senior Design Specialist (Digital Design) to craft digital experiences that are as useful and intuitive as they are delightful. In this role, you will bring the Air New Zealand brand to life online by translating our identity into thoughtful, systematic design solutions that seamlessly blend creativity, consistency and craft.

What you’ll do

Lead the creation of functional, beautiful digital products. From concept and prototypes through to high-fidelity interface design and interaction.
Collaborate with design specialists, product owners and developers to integrate digital products into seamless end-to-end customer experiences.
Strengthen and extend the Air New Zealand brand digitally, ensuring our design DNA shines through every interaction.
Own and evolve Design System components. Ensuring specifications are maintained, best practices applied and our Unison site delivers maximum impact.
Present and advocate for the Digital Design Chapter’s vision, sharing expertise and showcasing design excellence across the organisation.
Partner with the Chapter Lead to foster a creative, collaborative community within the design chapter, importing global best practices and driving craft excellence.

What you’ll bring

Proven experience designing for complex digital products or platforms.

A portfolio showcasing interaction, visual and systems design at a high level of craft.

Expertise in design systems, component libraries and maintaining design standards at scale.

The ability to translate brand principles into digital interfaces that inspire and engage.

Strong collaboration and communication skills; you thrive working cross-functionally.

Passion for continuous improvement and design leadership, with a curiosity for emerging tools and techniques.
