This position is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy across all regions to achieve and exceed revenue and growth targets. This role drives business development, fosters key prospect relationships, and ensures alignment with organisational objectives to deliver sustainable market growth.
Key Accountabilities..
- Responsible for the delivery of the new business team's annual sales targets, through the mentoring, coaching and support of team members to ensure that sales targets are met and exceeded
- Review, refine and help deliver strategic business growth plans for NZ BDM team.
- Provide leadership, direction, training and support to the team, to help drive client growth.
- Model inspirational leadership through effective people management that cultivates a strong culture of performance, collaboration, personal growth and engagement
- Ensure all active opportunities including targeted prospect information is updated in our CRM system to help drive our growth strategy
- Oversee compliance and quality input into preparation of responses, sales proposals, or presentations
- Assist with or contribute to contractual negotiations for new business opportunities
- Develop and maintain approved funder relationships that supports opportunity for growth
- Deliver timely on-boarding process, ensure the process is adhered to for all new clients including handover to relevant the Client Relationship team members
- Lead post sales reviews with cross functional teams to capture good practices, enrich the value proposition and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Be an ambassador for the brand
Skills and experience..
- Solid people management experience, specifically as a Sales Leader, with a track record of consistent team performance and results.
- Demonstrated experience of exceeding both individual and team targets / KPI's
- Proven ability to position business relative to competition, anticipate and address evolving market opportunities and emerging issues that ensures the right balance between long term business strategy and short-term commercial requirements
- Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing, demonstrating good listening and probing skills
- Ability to understand customer's needs and consistently adapt products / services offering to attract profitable growth
- Comprehensive understanding of the New Zealand fleet management Industry and principles.
- Knowledge of SG Fleet products, services, systems and processes (if promoted within).
- Working knowledge of industry legislative, compliance and regulatory obligations.
- Ability to attract, motivate and develop strong teams, maintain high levels of activity and engagement
- Ability to establish clear goals, devise plans, attend to appropriate details, meet deadlines, and inspire others to move towards an established direction
- Business acumen based on a solid understanding of the business and finance principles
- Capability to coach through challenges and setbacks, provide on-going developmental feedback to help develop team members
- Sound CRM experience managing pipelines, including Microsoft office skills across all applications
- Tertiary qualification in Business management or related discipline (desirable)
