Join our fast growing team as a class 5 driver and make the most of our diverse on-going opportunities within the transport sector.About the roleSkillford and co limited is seeking an experienced Class 5 Driver to join our team in Christchurch, Canterbury.

We have part time and full-time positions which will involve driving large trucks and towing trailers on both regional and long-haul routes, alongside civil works that we also have on offer.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods across the South Island.

What you'll be doing Operate a range of Class 5 vehicles, including rigid trucks, semi-trailers and B-trains Adhere to all road rules, safety protocols and company policies Inspect vehicles and report any issues or maintenance needs Load and unload cargo, ensuring safe and efficient operations Maintain accurate trip logs and documentation Deliver goods on time and in excellent condition Provide exceptional customer service to clients What we're looking for A current Class 5 driver's licence with a minimum of 3 years' experience Excellent driving skills and knowledge of safe driving practices Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and customer service skills Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends What we offerAt Skillford and co limited, we value our employees and offer a range of benefits to support your work-life balance.
