Our skipper guides drive and maneuver small passenger boats to take our guests on a fun and informative excursion on Tasman Lake, interacting around icebergs and up to the mighty terminal face of NZ's largest glacier.
What will you bring to the role?
Previous guiding experience is preferred, ideally a minimum of 6 months.
We provide all training to ensure you are up to speed with our products, services, standards, and expectations.
Commitment for a full season or permanent employment
NZ driver's license or entitlement to drive in NZ
Passion for the outdoors and eagerness to learn and step up
Ability to manage a group, with strong public speaking and communication skills
Responsibility, commitment, reliability, and flexibility to work across different tours and products
Flexible, with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn
To stand out :
Previous guiding experience of six months or more (preferred)
Boating or water sports experience (advantageous)
First aid experience (beneficial)
Class 2 and P endorsements (beneficial)
The role and benefits :
Full-time, fixed-term or permanent position, minimum 60 hours per fortnight, $28-$32 / hour
