Intensive Support Worker - (Night shift)

We are looking for full time and part time, night shift (wakeover) Support Workers to work alongside, coach and mentor rangatahi and tamariki in our Residential Services.
Experience and knowledge of Te Ao Maori would be advantageous for this position.
The locations of work will include Rangiora, St Albans, Marshlands, Cashmere.
What does a Support Worker do?

Our Support Workers assist rangitahi and tamariki who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community.
You will :
Work as a team to ensure consistency in your approach.
Support tamariki or rangitahi to go to school or access education.
Observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the young person.
Support rangitahi / young people to work towards and attain their goals and improve outcomes.

Who are we looking for?

A desire to support our rangitahi / young people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.
A strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Maori and Pasifika customs and cultural norms.
The ability to speak Te Reo Maori would be a bonus.
A high degree of resilience and understanding of intellectual disabilities and complex needs.
Previous experience working with young people / rangitahi.
Creativity 'out of the box' thinking and a team player.
A full NZ driver's license.
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
