Civil Pipelayer / Drain Laying Crew Leader – Location : Nelson, New Zealand – Salary : Competitive | Additional Allowances for Overtime & On-Call Work

Are you an experienced Civil Pipelayer or Drain Laying professional looking to step up into a leadership role? We’re recruiting for a Crew Leader to join a well‑established team providing essential services to Nelson City Council. This is a long‑term, ongoing placement with the potential for permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on‑call support for main services in Nelson City (once every 5 weeks), with a $350 on‑call allowance and additional pay for any callouts (minimum 3 hours of pay).
• Supervise and support team members while maintaining high safety and service standards.
• Be the point of contact for clients and the public, ensuring a professional and approachable attitude.
• Perform hands‑on work in the field 50% of the time, while managing and supporting the team off‑tools the other 50%.
