The purpose of this role is to support with accounting and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations, while liaising with internal and external stakeholders to implement policies.

Your new role
Reporting to our Senior Finance Manager, this role supports accounting and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities include :
Month-end assistance, cashflow forecasting, lease accounting and fixed asset management.Treasury processing including banking transactions and resolving payment queries.Assisting with external reporting to regulators including RBNZ, Stats NZ, ICNZ, and Companies Office.Contributing to process improvements.Collaborating with offshore teams and contributing to regional finance initiatives.Please note : For the successful candidate, this process will include a phone screen with our Talent Acquisition team, 2 interviews (either face to face or online via Teams), and background checks.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is :
A qualified accountant (CA or CPA or equivalent)Experienced in accounting, ideally within a complex financial services organisationProficient in Oracle, SAP or similar ERP systemsDetail-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitudeAble to problem-solve and work both independently & collaborativelySupportive leader and mentorInsurance industry experience is a bonus, not a requirementAbout QBE
