connect people and taonga.This is an opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator to help promote our stories, spaces and taonga.

From exhibitions and events to retail and commercial operations, your work will help us connect with existing audiences and engage new ones.In this role, you'll help coordinate, create and deliver marketing material across our community engagement activity and commercial operations—developing plans, creating content, coordinating social media posts, and collaborating with teams across the organisation.

As Marketing Coordinator you\'ll work closely with the Community Engagement and Learning leadership team and Specialist Advisors to develop promotional plans and content that supports programmes, events and services.What we're looking forWe\'re after someone with a solid foundation in marketing, communication and design, who is creative, organised, and happy juggling multiple projects at once.You'll need : Proven experience delivering marketing and social media content and plansA good understanding of marketing principles and audience engagementConfidence with digital content tools and channels with Adobe skills and design capability preferredExperience building relationships with stakeholders, partners and colleaguesStrong writing skills and attention to detailA nose for data—comfortable interpreting insights and analytics to assess success and improve outcomesStrong project management skills and an ability to deliver on timeAn awareness of the impact of Te Tiriti o Waitangi on marketing practice and a commitment to supporting matauranga MaoriA interest in visual storytelling, branding and community connectionAbout UsWorking at the Department of Internal Affairs, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders.The Partnerships and Commissions branch of DIA is responsible for a diverse portfolio of national institutions, commissions, Executive and community-based services.

The branch oversees and supports the National Library and Archives New Zealand, Hapai Hapori – Community Operations, and Ministerial Services who provide a range of services to the Prime Minister and the Executive.

The branch oversees various commissions including royal commissions, ministerial inquiries and those established through legislation (Local Government Commission, Gambling Commission).
