Role Overview

Join Rydges Latimer Christchurch, where contemporary comfort meets locally inspired dining. As our Sous Chef, you’ll play a key leadership role in delivering outstanding culinary experiences at our award-winning hotel. Working alongside the Executive Chef, you’ll oversee daily kitchen operations, uphold high food standards, and inspire your team to create dishes that showcase quality, creativity, and consistency. Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation.
• Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to achieve high performance.
• Maintain top standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Manage ordering, stock control, and food costs to meet budget goals.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning and specials.
• Support a positive, team-focused culture across all kitchen areas.
