Team Leader - Pre-press Design

OjiFibre Solutions is one of New Zealand's leading manufacturers and suppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout the country. Our customers include blue chip manufacturers and marketers of packaging products to the food, primary produce, industrial and grocery sectors.

Based at our Corrugated Case business in Mangere Bridge, Auckland, we provide innovative and high‑quality cardboard packaging to the dairy, horticulture, industrial and food sectors. We are on the lookout for an experienced Team Leader – Pre‑Press Design to utilise their experience from the packaging, print or ink industries working at our busy manufacturing site in Mangere Bridge. This role reports through to the Product Development Manager and is responsible for :

• Managing and leading a team a team of two in the pre‑press design process from establishing customer needs, liaison with sales and production to establish job requirements.
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high standards, whilst coordinating with other departments and stakeholders.
• Generation of artwork proofs and subsequent plate imaging files for flexographic printing.
• Maintain productive working relationships with all internal and external customers to create a seamless approach to corrugated box manufacturing and reduce downtime, resolve issues, and enhance working relationships on the floor.
• Ensure all documentation is completed and is accurate and provide up to date reporting.
• Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for pre‑press are up to date and reviewed on a regular basis.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the standardisation of design projects, setting long‑term goals and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
• A future focused approach – awareness of new technologies and materials, supporting new product development and understanding and implementation of best practices in print and plate design.
• Lead, develop and maintain a safety‑first culture through visible leadership.
• Strong computer literacy around Microsoft Office and Excel.
