Triboard Mill Flaker Operator (Fixed Term)

Company Overview

Juken New Zealand Ltd (JNL) is an international forest and wood products company operating in local and global timber markets.

JNL owns three wood processing plants in the North Island, and forests in the Wairarapa and East Coast regions.

We work closely with our parent company in Japan – WoodOne.

Mills and Operations

The two mills situated in Kaitaia are currently operating a 51 / 2 day / 24 hr operation processing Radiata Pine into reconstituted wood panels and peeled, dried veneer.

Position

An opportunity has now become available for a motivated individual to join the business in the position of Flaker Operator.

This is a fixed term position based at our Triboard Mill located in Kaitaia.

You will be required to work day / night shifts.

Health & Safety – Understand and portray a positive example

Machine operation – After training, operate machine in a safe and effective manner to ensure optimal quality product

Recording any hazards that may arise

Reporting any downtime, damage, or injury to either yourself or others

Ideal Candidate

A mechanical aptitude would be a benefit

Reliable transportation

Pre-employment Checks

All successful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment criminal history check as well as a medical check including hearing, lung function and drug test.
