  • : Were looking for a motivated and passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary Respiratory team.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership, coordinate seamless care across hospital and community settings, and make a real difference in the lives of people with complex respiratory disease.As the

  • Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
  • , you will provide specialist nursing knowledge, assessment, and management for patients with respiratory conditions including airways disease, sleep and ventilation disorders, and patients requiring home oxygen.
  • Youll lead nurse led clinics, contribute to pulmonary rehabilitation programmes, and support continuous improvement in patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and education.Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, Maaori and Pacific health services, and primary care partners, you will play a key role in developing integrated care pathways and strengthening service delivery across the continuum of care.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist clinical assessment, treatment planning, and management for patients with complex respiratory disease.
  • Lead nurse-led respiratory outpatient clinics and provide expert input to multidisciplinary team (MDT) clinics and meetings
  • Facilitate and support Pulmonary Rehabilitation and other community respiratory initiatives.
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and education to nursing and allied health staff.
  • Contribute to policy and guideline development, service evaluation, and research initiatives.
  • Build effective partnerships with primary care providers, community health workers, and external agencies to ensure seamless care.
  • Promote health literacy and culturally responsive care that aligns with Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
  • Be part of a diverse and supportive multidisciplinary team passionate about improving respiratory health in our community.

  • About You
  • NZ Registered Nurse with current Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum of five years medical / respiratory nursing experience, post registration in NZ
  • Minimum PDRP of Proficient or Expert
