As Project Manager - Special Projects, you'll work with a variety of stakeholders to contract and deliver programmes of work that are outside of the delivery through our Maintenance Partners.
These programmes are often outside "standard" maintenance activities and can involve complex solutions such as subsidence issues, water mains upgrades, retaining walls and shared driveway resurfacing.
Projects may require council consent, engineers reports and geotech reports, and involve working with external contractors in the market.
You'll use project management principles to ensure your portfolio of projects is delivered on time, to budget and meets all compliance requirements.
This will include site management and therefore some limited travel might be required.
Your expertise in property refurbishment and prior practical, on-the-tools experience will ensure you have the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully manage your portfolio.

What You Will Bring
You'll have at least 5 years of proven project management experience gained in the construction or residential property maintenance industries
You'll be a certified or qualified builder with experience in residential renovations and / or refurbishments for more than 5 years
Experience with reading architectural designs, engineers report and building plans.
Tertiary qualification in Project Management / Engineering or similar and proven project management and minimum experience of 5 years.
Substantial practical experience working in property maintenance or construction industry
Demonstrated experience in contract management and negotiation
A track record of effective engagement with stakeholders, contractors and colleagues, to ensure priorities are communicated clearly and deadlines are achieved
Desire and resilience to work in a complex and constantly changing environment
Up to date recognised Project Management certification e.g. Prince2
Sound understanding of all legislative requirements within the construction industry (NZS3604, HealthyHomes Act etc.)
