Their skill set means they have the confidence to act in a quick, responsible, and calm way.ResponsibilitiesProviding a safe environment through proactive supervision and positive interaction with customers.Educating and enforcing pool rules.Responding to any First Aid emergencies.Ensuring our pool and the surrounding areas are always clean.Shifts and TrainingWe are looking to fill 8-hr permanent part-time positions.
Shifts below : Saturday : 10am – 18 : 30pm but flexible to work from 12pm to 20 : 30pm if required due to operational needsYou will be required to attend the following training dates.
Monday to Friday at West Wave, 8am-4pm : 10 / 11 / 2025 – 21 / 11 / 2025About youWe are looking for people who are strong swimmers, dedicated to helping others.
To work as a pool lifeguard in New Zealand, you will need to hold a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLPC).
The first step in becoming a lifeguard for Auckland Council is to be able to pass this swim test.
Please only apply for this position if you feel you can : Swim 200m in under 6 minutesSwim 25m sidestrokeSwim 50m breaststrokeRetrieve an object from the bottom of the poolTread water for 5 minutesWhat we offerWe aim to help you upskill and develop, so that you can train and take on other functions within our centres.
