East India Takeaway in Howick, Auckland is looking for a fulltime cook.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

The Cook will be expected to carry out the following tasks :

• Inspect food items to confirm they meet quality and freshness standards
• Manage and adjust the heat levels of ovens, grills, fryers and similar equipment
• Prepare, cook, and flavour a variety of dishes
• Plate meals, ensure correct portion sizes, and add sauces, gravies and garnishes
• Keep all food stored correctly in temperature-controlled conditions
• Prepare meals for customers with specific dietary needs
• Assist with developing menus and estimating food and ingredient requirements
• Support the training and guidance of junior kitchen staff or apprentices when required.
