As our learning support coordinator, you will lead and coordinate the provision of learning support across the school.

You will ensure every child receives the guidance and resources they need to achieve their potential by working closely with students, teachers, whanau, school leaders and external agencies.

You will :

Lead and coordinate the provision of learning support across the school.

Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff and families to create a supportive learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers to identify student needs, plan targeted programmes and monitor progress.

Support learners with diverse learning and behavioural needs.

Organise and oversee the professional learning of learning assistants.

Oversee and coordinate the work of school counsellors.

Implement and maintain continuity in learning support programmes across the school.

Work with the leadership team to strengthen school-wide learning support systems and contribute to creating inclusive practices for all learners.

Key experience we value includes :

Experience with learners who have special educational needs.

Experience with Assessment for Learning (AFL) practices.

Proven experience in supporting professional learning and development for staff.

Experience in managing or coordinating support staff and programmes.

Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
