Job Summary :

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of nursing care. The professional nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for appropriately delegating patient care to other members of the healthcare team.

Position Responsibilities :

• Performs patient assessments leading to the development, implementation, and evaluation of a care plan.
• Administers, monitors, and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patients and families / responsible parties regarding disease processes, care needs, wellness, and safety issues.
• Delegates and monitors care provided by other healthcare team members.
• Participates in the orientation, education, and development of healthcare staff.
• Engages in performance improvement activities.
• Maintains professional and departmental competencies.
