About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for highly motivated and innovative Senior Registered Nurses for the role of Charge Nurse, Medical Specialty Ward.

As Charge Nurse, you'll ensure the effective delivery of nursing and support services, lead multidisciplinary teams, and champion person and whanau-centred care.

You'll play a key role in clinical leadership, staff development, cultural responsiveness, and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage nursing care delivery and staff performance.
  • Promote Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and culturally safe practice.
  • Facilitate patient flow and discharge planning.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, clinical standards, and budgetary management.
  • Collaborate with respiratory and renal teams for seamless care.

What You'll Bring

  • Registered Nurse with a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Senior Nurse PDRP portfolio.
  • Experience as an Associate Charge Nurse.
  • Commitment to cultural responsiveness and Tikanga Best Practice.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
