The opportunity

As Building Services Manager, you’ll lead a team of dedicated professionals who deliver guidance, approvals, inspections, and monitoring services for building applications. You’ll ensure compliance with the Building Act and related legislation, while also overseeing public safety standards such as building warrants of fitness, earthquake‑prone buildings, and more.

This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll :

• Maintain DCC’s accreditation as a Building Consent Authority.
• Champion a culture of engagement, development, and operational excellence.
• Provide related strategic advice to Elected Officials, the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across building services.
• Build strong relationships with industry stakeholders and customers.

You’re a proven leader with experience managing large, multi‑disciplinary teams. You bring a future‑focused mindset, strong regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to delivering quality services that meet the needs of our community.
