We are in the process of searching for an exceptional Administration Team Leader with a background in leading a teams of people dedicated to dealing with complex administration.
In particular we are recruiting Team Leader for the following areas : Theatres, ICU and Anaesthetics.
We are looking for individuals who can successfully unite teams and can drive improvements through the effective coaching and development of our staff.
NHS experience is essential.
Main Duties
The theatre complex at Croydon Health Services spans Croydon Elective Centre (CEC), Emergency Surgical Centre (ESC) and the Purley Elective Centre (PEC) based at Purley War Memorial Hospital.
Following the first COVID wave, CHS reviewed how surgery was delivered at the main hospital site.
It was decided to split both emergency and elective operating to reduce the risk of patients contracting COVID post procedure.
The CEC, a hospital within a hospital, was created supports the elective recovery programme, ensuring that patients being treated in the centre are COVID protected.
ESC is in place to support emergency flows, pull patients from The Emergency Department (ED), houses the Ambulatory Surgical Hub (ASH), receiving surgical GP referrals to bypass ED.
The PEC was created in summer
The Patient Pathway Team Leader will provide senior support and expert knowledge to the team of receptionists, supervisors and patient pathway coordinator within the Point of Delivery (POD) 12 team.
The team leader will oversee all administrative and clerical process to enable a high quality, effective, patient focused service to be delivered.
The post holder will ensure that standard operating procedures are followed, ensuring achievement of all performance targets.
The team leader will be responsible for ensuring all anaesthetic and ICU rota gaps are full providing continuity of service.

Responsibilities
Identify and manage the team's performance including work allocation.
Lead, inspire and motivate the team to go over and above to keep the patients at the heart of everything they do.
Manage change positively and promote continuous improvement by recommending changes that will improve results whilst retaining team spirit.
Engagement with key stakeholders to ensure service delivery and escalations where any key performance indicators or service level agreements may be going off-track.
Qualifications and Training
Essential Criteria
Educated to degree or equivalent experience / qualification.
Evidence of on-going continuous personal development (CPD) and training.
Computer Literacy Course e.g. ECDL.
Desirable Criteria
Management qualification or relevant experience.
Experience & Knowledge
Essential Criteria
Experience of using full range of IT systems and patient data systems (including excellent understanding of MS Office packages).
Experience of managing staff.
Experience of working with patients and providing information regarding their appointments.
Experience of managing patient complaints.
Office management experience including conducting staff appraisals and setting objectives in line with Trust objectives and PDPs.
Knowledge of specialty POD patient pathways / trouble shooting Electronic Patient Record (EPR) issues.
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge of financial / business analysis techniques.
