  • About the Role
  • As Project Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the STEP Establishment phase. Reporting to the Director, STEP and PPDO, you'll provide essential administrative and coordination support across multiple workstreams. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your project management skills while contributing to a high-profile programme that will shape the future of qualifications and assessment in Aotearoa. This is a fixed-term position through to 30 June 2026.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with project planning, documentation, and reporting
  • Coordinate meetings and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Support governance boards and steering committees
  • Maintain project schedules, registers, and documentation in line with best practice (e.g. MSP, Prince2)
  • Help manage risks, issues, and communications across the project
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • What You'll Bring
  • Essential :
  • Proven experience in project administration and coordination
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Financial reporting and analysis capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • A collaborative, client-focused approach
  • An eye for detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2)
  • Desirable :
  • Knowledge of te ao Māori and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Experience in the public or education sectors
  • Familiarity with NZQA's role and responsibilities
  • PMP / Prince2 / MSP certification
  • Qualifications :
  • A qualification at Level 6 of the NZQF or equivalent experience in a similar role. .
