Overview

Mercor provides pay ranges. Base pay range : $65.00 / hr - $75.00 / hr. This range is provided by Mercor. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Position

  • Position : Engineering PhD – Contractor, Remote
  • Commitment : 10-20 hours per week, with potential for increased hours and extension
  • Role : Contribute subject matter expertise to a project involving frontier large language models. Craft high-quality, challenging problems with real-world applicability to inform AI innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate asynchronously with a team of highly qualified experts across your domain.
  • Craft, solve, and review challenging problems with real-world applicability.
  • Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines and contribute to AI innovation.
  • Ensure the quality and applicability of crafted problems to inform the future of AI.
  • Engage in a fully remote and asynchronous work environment.

    • Requirements / Qualifications

    Must-Have Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in Engineering from a top US university
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent proficiency in English
  • Based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI model training and evaluation
  • Familiarity with large language models

  • Compensation : $65-75 / hour
  • Contract Type : Hourly contractor
  • Schedule : 10-20 hours per week
  • Location : Remote
  • Payment : Weekly via Stripe Connect
