We’re looking for a seasoned Accounts Payable professional to join our Finance Team in Auckland. This is a role for someone with solid experience in financial administration — who understands the realities of high-volume, deadline-driven finance work and has the experience (and a few war stories) to show for it. You take pride in your accuracy, can stay composed when things get busy, genuinely enjoy building strong relationships across the business and seeks opportunities to enhance the way things are done, without losing sight of what already works well.

About the Role

As an Accounts Payable Administrator , you’ll play a key role in ensuring our vendor payments are processed accurately and on time. You’ll handle high transaction volumes, support month-end processes, and work closely with both internal teams and external vendors to maintain smooth, transparent financial operations.

This is a role where your experience, attention to detail, and ability to stay calm under pressure will shine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the vendor masterfile to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Process, code, and reconcile invoices and payments efficiently.
  • Resolve discrepancies and manage invoice approvals through system workflows.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc payment runs.
  • Process expense and corporate card claims in line with internal policy.
  • Perform supplier and bank reconciliations, supporting the month-end close.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Identify and support opportunities for system and process enhancement to improve efficiency and consistency.

About You

  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (particularly Excel).
  • Experience with MYOB Acumatica or in the waste industry (advantageous but not essential).
  • A collaborative, team-focused mindset and a genuine interest in improving how things are done.
