About the organisation

He Waka Tapu is a Kaupapa Māori organisation who have been supporting individuals and the community for 30 years. He Waka Tapu works to increase the health and wellbeing of Whānau.

Te Aranga Health is a low-cost, whānau-focused general practice that provides a wide range of services including mental health, sexual health, physical health and immunisations. Te Aranga is located onsite at He Waka Tapu on Pages Road, allowing patients to access all other services He Waka Tapu has to offer.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced medical receptionists to work 32 hours per week, 8 : 45am – 5 : 15pm four days per week at our Te Aranga Clinic.

This role will suit someone who brings a calm and professional presence and takes pride in providing excellent service to patients and visitors.

Te Aranga provides patient-centred care that addresses health needs and promotes wellness while being supported by close-knit and passionate staff.

Skills and experience

• Positive attitude and a welcoming smile
• Strong interpersonal communication that is both empathetic and professional
• Ability to stay calm and composed under pressure
• Reception, customer service, or administration experience
• Able to handle sensitive information with a mature approach
