Senior Data & AI Engineer

About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Data & AI Engineer to unlock the full potential of our data and AI capabilities. In this hands-on, technically focused role, you’ll design and support robust data pipelines and operationalise AI and machine learning models that drive real-world outcomes.

Working within a collaborative engineering team, you’ll deliver solutions that enhance customer experiences and support a data-informed business. Reporting to the Data and AI Engineering Lead, you’ll focus on building scalable data pipeline developments, AI-enabled solutions, and ML model deployments, all while ensuring strong governance and security practices.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on complex challenges, is motivated by meaningful work, and wants to contribute to building a more intelligent, sustainable energy future.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years in data engineering, machine learning, or a related field, with a relevant degree
• Strong experience with Snowflake and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Skilled in SQL and Python, with experience in ETL / ELT development and transformation tools (e.g., Coalesce)
• Solid understanding of data governance, quality, security, and dimensional modelling (e.g., Kimball)
• Familiarity with CI / CD practices, version control (e.g., GitHub), and modern development workflows
• Experience in machine learning engineering, including model deployment and / or MLOps
• Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) in data-driven solutions
• Experience developing with AI tools stack such as Streamlit, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, and vector databases
