West Coast Women’s Refuge is seeking an experienced individual to support and advocate for women and their tamariki experiencing family violence across the West Coast.
This is a full‑time (40 hours per week) role, Monday to Friday, within office hours (approx. 8 : 30am–5 : 00pm), based in our Greymouth office. The position covers the wider West Coast, so regular travel throughout the region is required. You will also take part in an after‑hours roster providing crisis line support and safehouse intakes.

We’re looking for someone who is motivated, values social justice, compassionate, proactive and can work both independently and as part of a supportive team. You will bring :
Experience in social services and / or an understanding of family violence is a strong advantage, however full training and induction will be provided to the successful applicant.
Applications close 18 December 2025, shortlisted candidates will be phone screened and interviews scheduled for the new year. The successful candidate will be required to complete a police vet, which can take up to 20 days to process, so start date likely end of January.
