Job descriptionCreate integration processes for data ingestion into Snowflake using Snowpipe, AWS SQS / SNS, and Snowflake events. Design, build, and maintain Snowflake architecture, overseeing security, access control mechanisms, and data encryption. Configure, set up, and administer AWS, including creating S3 buckets, IAM Roles, permissions, and policies. Develop ETL / ELT processes for data model construction using SQL, Java script, and relevant ELT tools. Lead capacity planning, scaling, backup, disaster recovery, and maintain documentation and knowledge sharing. Adhere to the Compliance Policies and Procedures. Ensure Health & Safety by reporting incidents and hazards promptly. Fulfill any additional duties reasonably requested by your direct line leader. Solid 5+ years Data Engineering experience. Proficiency in data warehousing concepts, including data modeling, schema design, data loading, and data querying. Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehousing platforms. Familiarity with ELT / ETL tools such as Matillion, Informatica, or Talend. Strong command of complex ANSI SQL queries. AWS expertise in S3 setup, data storage, integration, data transfer, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Optional proficiency in Python programming and JavaScript for ETL and procedures. Customer-facing skills with the ability to participate in demos and workshops. Quick learner, team player, independent, and motivated individual. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Data Management or equivalent. Can-do attitude. Optimistic outlook with common sense and a sense of humor. Passion for excellence and a commitment to be the best. High levels of energy, sound judgment, and determination with a sense of urgency. Exceptional attention to detail. Your responsibilities involve leveraging your technical expertise to facilitate and construct solutions for deployment across numerous clients.
