About the Role

Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking the services of a CT / General MIT trained MIT to work in our department at Taranaki Base Hospital.

You would be working as part of a dynamic team.

In this role, you will be responsible for :

Delivering quality patient-centred radiographic services which are efficient and effective for the needs of the patients and the serviceEffective documentation of procedures (where appropriate)The support and facilitation of quality indicators / programmesSupervision and clinical training of Medical Imaging Students, where appropriateManaging daily, weekly workload across multiple CT scanning platformsMeeting patient needs within agreed triaged referral timeframesAssisting the Senior staff with the daily workflowIf you are enthusiastic and patient focussed, then we would love you to join our team.If you join us, you can widen your skill base in a supportive team environment.We are looking forward to moving into a new department in April

About You :

You will work in a fast-paced environment with a caring team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and flexible person who is up for the challenge within our dynamic service in the Radiology services.

You will be required to participate in a 24 / 7 rostered service including on call.

Your skills will include :

Being a team player with excellent communication, time management and organisational skillsA genuine passion for radiography.

You will demonstrate this when teaching the MIT students who we host for clinical placementsSolid experience of general imaging, preferably in a larger centreThe ability to use initiative and assist workflow within the CT & general X- ray teamPrevious experience in CT is preferable.NZ Registration as a Medical Imaging Technologist with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board is essentialFor further information, please contact Sarah Caswell, Radiology Manager,
