About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic nursing leaderto join our medical cluster and lead the Ward 12 and Coronary Care nursing teams.We are looking for a collaborative senior nurse with strong interpersonalskills, innovative thinking, and the ability to problem solve and respond inthis fast-paced environment.
This is a new position following a restructure and the role willprovide nursing leadership to the two teams in taking the service forward and strengtheningnursing models of care.
About the Team / Service
Coronary Care is a 9-bed high care unit for patients withcardiology conditions requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
It also providescentralised telemetry monitoring for other inpatient areas.
Ward 12 is a 28-bedCardiology ward with adjacent short stay activity.
Nurses are specialised in cardiology and providing nursingcare to patients who present with a range of cardiology conditions requiring acutemedical management and Cath Lab intervention including structural heart andelectrophysiology procedures.
You will work closely with and be well supported by theNurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialists in leading and supporting theteams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care.
About you
As a Senior Nurse you will have extensiveexperience and proven leadership skills supporting daily operational activityand patient flow.
Your expert communication, interpersonal skillsand proven ability to engage people at all levels will see you work effectivelyand efficiently with a diverse group of teams to lead your team to provideadvanced clinical care and nursing expertise to the patients and theirfamilies / whanau.
By utilising your advanced knowledge andclinical skills in collaboration with nursing and medical staff, themultidisciplinary team and other external agencies you will contribute to thedevelopment and maintenance of high quality evidenced based patient care whilstalso contributing to and developing, appropriate nursing standards and qualityinitiatives.
You can problem solve and manage complexsituations as they arise, redistributing nursing resources to ensure theoptimal patient experience while supporting clinical delivery.
Your soundinterpersonal skills and impeccable management of complex situations enable youto work alongside a variety of clinicians to ensure care is delivered asrequired.
You have a comprehensive understanding ofcompetency in nursing and can work alongside individuals to supportprofessional development.
