Community Support Worker - School Holiday Programme - Porirua-Tawa
Our School Holiday Program is all about fun activities in a safe and positive environment.
Our team of support workers ensure that all children are catered for and active participation is achieved.
Responsibilities
As a Community Support Worker in one of our School Holiday Programmes, you will work as part of a team, dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe, secure and healthy space, where children with a learning disability can spend time in the holidays.
Reporting to the Programme Leader, you will facilitate meaningful activities and support children to engage in a variety of tasks.
These are fixed term contracts for two weeks which coincide with the Term 4 school holidays (January), based in Porirua

8am - 4pm
Skills & Experience
Committed and passionate for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives
Ability to communicate effectively and supportively with your colleagues and the people you support
Empathy and willingness to support people with their personal cares, such as bathing, dressing and toileting
The ideal candidate will have :
Willing to support people with disabilities
Reliability, Commitment, and Passion for working alongside people
We are looking for vibrant, energetic people who enjoy having fun
Ability to multi task and having confidence around children
A First Aid Cert
