Senior Analyst

About the Role

The Senior Analyst's primary role is to provide technical leadership and specialist expertise across critical components of the national activity-based costing programme. This includes overseeing data management, quality assurance, and benchmarking analysis, while working collaboratively with regional costing teams and contributing to additional work streams as needed.

About the Team

This team sits within the Te Whatu Ora Finance business unit and is responsible for collecting activity-based costing data for Te Whatu Ora, developing reference costs and pricing for hospital-based services, and managing core revenue information.

About you

You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification or possess equivalent experience, with a minimum of five years in a comparable role. Your background will include strong research, analytical, and advisory capabilities, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAS or similar analytical tools, and Snowflake. You will have experience with activity-based costing and analytics preferably within a healthcare environment, and a proven ability to interpret complex information and communicate insights clearly to support effective decision-making. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
