Grillnchill Ltd is looking for 2 Grill Chefs 30-35 hours per week, at the pay rate $28- $32 per hour. Overtime will be paid at $28-$32 per hours. Wages will be paid their nominated bank account.
For the Wellington region, at Hataitai and Wadestown stores, needed Grill chefs who are either New Zealand citizens, residents / PRs, or on an open work visa with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in Commmercial kitchen.
Key responsibilities :
- Grill, cook, and season burger patties with consistent quality and timing
- Build and assemble burgers to brand specifications with precision
- Maintain high food safety, hygiene, and temperature-control standards
- Oversee daily prep of fresh ingredients and ensure stock rotation (FIFO).
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation, including daily grill cleaning
- Ensure adherence to portion control, quality standards, and kitchen SOPs
- Manage cooking timelines during busy periods and coordinate with team members
- Assist with junior staff in grill operations and food safety
- Support the kitchen manager in maintaining compliance with food control plans.
