About the Role
In this role, you will keep our production and packaging equipment performing at a high standard, including dryers, sachet machines, pouch fillers, and supporting utilities. You’ll troubleshoot issues, carry out planned maintenance, and help improve our processes so we can deliver safe, high-quality products consistently.
You will work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and external service partners, contributing your technical expertise to reduce downtime and lift overall equipment efficiency.
This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary of $85,000 per year.
What You Will Be Doing
- Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot key plant equipment (dryers, sachet and pouch lines, HVAC, compressed air, nitrogen systems).
- Carry out preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Respond quickly to mechanical and electrical faults across the lines.
- Set and adjust sealing parameters for consistent packaging quality.
- Apply SMED and Lean tools to reduce waste and improve changeover times.
- Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
- Work to GMP, HACCP, HSWA 2015, and food safety requirements.
- Keep maintenance and calibration records accurate and audit-ready.
- Support MPI, WorkSafe, and customer audit activities.
- Promote safe work behaviors, including LOTO and hazard identification.
What You Will Bring
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Trade Certificate (or equivalent).3+ years’ maintenance engineering experience, with at least 2 years in dairy, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.Experience with sachet / pouch machinery and high-speed packaging equipment.Skilled in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults (PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, sensors).Familiar with packaging materials (PET, PE, ALU, laminated films) and automation / process control.Experience using CMMS, predictive maintenance tools, and Lean / Six Sigma methods.Who You Are
