Due to our exciting company growth, we have opportunities for motivated Automation Engineers to join us on a fixed-term basis (with potential for permanent work following contract wins).
You will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of our cutting-edge electrical and control systems on global projects that redefine what's possible.
About The Role
You will be instrumental in projects like WHOOSH®, a revolutionary transport system, and Switchback®, a first-of-its-kind cornering zip line.
As a key member of our collaborative team, you will contribute throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include :
Architecting Solutions : Developing operating philosophies and ensuring optimal system architecture.
Championing Safety : Facilitating Hazard and Risk Analysis to define safety functions and mitigation strategies.
Driving Electrical Design : Leading or contributing hands-on to electrical design, from component selection to drawing implementation.
Developing Robust Code : Writing modular, reusable, and easily understandable code.
Validating Performance : Collaborating on the design of test equipment to validate hardware and software sub-systems.
Delivering Excellence On-Site : Leading control system commissioning, supporting mechanical system integration, and conducting final safety validation for system sign-off.
The ideal person will demonstrate :
4+ years' experience as an Automation Engineer or similar
The ability to oversee electrical and automation development from concept to commissioning.
A strong grasp of functional safety to engineer safety control systems from risk analysis to final validation.
Substantial PLC and HMI programming experience (e.g., Rockwell, Codesys, Siemens, Omron).
Prefer confidence in electrical system design and familiarity with relevant standards (AS / NZS, IEC, NFPA).
Experience in ELV electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
Some experience with higher-level programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Python, Visual Basic).
A Benthelsor degree in a relevant subject is preferred, not essential
