Position Description

Ata whakaarohia tō āpōpō | Imagine Tomorrow with Us

At Te Mātāpuna Fonterra, we want everyone to feel they can be themselves.

Whether you're early in your career or ready for your next step, Fonterra offers a unique opportunity to grow with a global dairy co-operative that values care, collaboration, and contribution.

Owned by New Zealand dairy farmers and supported by a dedicated team, we are all working together to create a better future. Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow, and you can create positive change.

He kupu mō mātou | About us

We love Kiwi dairy farmers and know they're pretty awesome. For generations, they have relied on hard work, ingenuity, and each other to create the kind of goodness that fuels our families, connects our communities and supports our economy.

At Farm Source, the same co-operative spirit that our farmers and their communities share drives our team. We make farming easier so farmers can continue to concentrate on what they do best – producing high-quality New Zealand milk in the most sustainable way. This means growing and supporting the right people – smart people with plenty of 'roll-your-sleeves up' energy to rise to the challenge. Whether you're on the farm getting your gumboots dirty or connecting over a coffee at our local stores, you'll get the mahi done as part of a trusted team – backed by good people, the right products, innovative solutions, and industry-leading expertise.

So why not join us? Whether you're on the farm getting your gumboots dirty or connecting over a coffee at our local stores, you'll be getting the mahi done as part of a trusted team.

You can learn more about Farm Source .

Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity

As a Farmer Support Specialist, you’ll be the go-to resource for our farmers and Farm Source customers, ensuring they get the support they need for a top-notch experience.

A typical day looks like this:

  • Fielding calls from customers and farmers and delivering quick, effective solutions.
  • Responding to emails and web messages to tackle a wide range of inquiries.
  • Collaborating with different business units to get results that make a difference for our customers.

Common issues you’ll tackle include tanker collections, milk quality, shareholding, Farm Source accounts, and digital support.

Shift Details

·This is a Monday to Friday role, operating on a rostered shift rotation between 7am and 6pm. Flexibility within these hours is key.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits, including the Employee Rewards Card, discounted fuel, and health insurance.
  • Hybrid role – work from home up to 3 days per week after your qualifying period.
  • Room for internal growth and career development.

Mōu | About you

We’re after results-driven individuals with a strong interest in farming and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll be a quick thinker, calm under pressure, and able to connect the dots for our farmers, even when the answers aren’t obvious. You don’t need to be a dairy farming expert, just someone who can solve problems and get things done.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
Some of the qualities we’re looking for include:

  • A strong customer service focus
  • An interest in farming and agriculture is preferred
  • Recent graduates who want to build a long-term career

Does this sound good to you? Come join our whānau - bring your whole self, and let's solve for better together.

You, me, us together, Tātou, tātou.
