We are looking for an enthusiastic Full-Time Sous Chefto work at our Defence site in Waiouru.You will be working across 7 days a week, availability to work over weekends will be a requirement.

Waiouruis is located on the south-easternNorth Island Volcanic Plateau, 130km north ofPalmerston Northand 25 km south-east ofMount Ruapehu,30 minutes from Taupo and similar distance from Ohakune (takes you longer to get to work in Auckland!).

On one day you will need to be able to produce meals in large volume whilst on another serving an la carte menu, another a five star dinner or regimental dinner and always to strict timelines.

You will need to be flexible in the areas you work and on occasion take the responsibility for running the kitchen.Our ideal candidate will have : at least 3 years' proven work experience in a similar role,bulk cooking and fine dining experience,will hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168).
