Purpose of Position :
To delegate work to Cinema Sales Attendants and supervise the team to ensure high-quality work completion.
Authority :
To facilitate correct practices and provide instructions if performance expectations are not met.
Any serious disciplinary issues are to be referred to the Cinema Manager.
May warn and evict patrons if necessary.
Staff Management :
Allocate tasks, responsibilities (such as Point of Sale, Choctop Production, Cleaning Duties, Bathroom Cleaning, Cinema Checks, Rubbish, Recycling), and equipment each shift.
Inform staff about events, promotions, health and safety updates, and other relevant matters at the start of each shift.
Assist Cinema Sales Attendants in handling difficult patrons to achieve resolution.
Staff Training :
Support management in training Cinema Sales Attendants as needed.
Point of Sale - Selling Tickets, Food & Drink :
Collect POS equipment, floats, keys, and walkies from the Duty Manager at shift start.
Ensure all equipment is operational at the start of each day.
Maintain adequate stock levels and replenish supplies as needed.
Allocate sufficient staff to POS tasks for efficient service.
Complete necessary forms, like the Wastage form, as required.
Provide change from the float as needed.
Ensure cash floats balance at shift end or provide explanations for discrepancies.
Report all cash variances with reasons to the Duty Manager.
Keep all surfaces and equipment clean.
Conduct monthly stocktakes and report findings.
Manage patron movement and undertake cinema checks during screenings.
Clean cinemas between screenings within allocated time.
Report faults or breakages; log in Fire Check Book if not fixable; direct customers to Play Attendant if applicable.
Clean spillages promptly and maintain high cleanliness standards throughout shifts.
Health & Safety of Patrons & Staff :
Complete and post emergency responsibility sheets at the start of each shift.
Conduct fire checks at shift start; rectify faults before allowing patrons in.
Check fire exits and doors at session end; report and fix faults before next session.
Ensure safety to prevent injury to self and others.
Maintain cleanliness of patron toilets.
Minimize incidents of theft, property damage, and unauthorized entry; report and escort offenders to management.
