The purpose being to provide safe and clinically effective patient / client assessment and intervention, with a focus on developing clinical capability with support from more experienced Clinical Psychologists.

About the Role
As an intern you will undertake formative supervised professional practice and advanced learning of a clinical psychologist role in Mental Health & Addictions Services and or Older Adult Mental Health Service.
You will contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective service for young people or adults with mental health and or addiction needs within the service.
To contribute in an effective and cooperative manner within the multi-disciplinary treatment teams ensuring that a psychology perspective is present in team discussion and service user management.
To demonstrate a recovery focus that underpins all activities undertaken with whaiora, their families / whanau, and other agencies with whom service users may be involved with.
About the Team / Service
MidCentral District are offering two positions for an Intern Clinical Psychologist in
One position will be based in our Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service, and the second position split 2 days a week in our Manawatu adult community mental health service and 2 days a week in our Older Adult Mental Health Service.
