Class 5 Truck & Trailer driver (BOP)

HEB Construction’s Civil Bay of Plenty team is looking for an experienced and reliable Class 5 Truck & Trailer Driver to join our growing operation based out of The Mount.

This is a key role supporting our civil construction projects across the region. We’re after someone who knows their way around heavy civil sites, takes pride in safe, efficient work, and can represent HEB’s values out on the job every day.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating Class 5 truck & trailer units, primarily supporting civil construction and roading crews

• Spreading aggregate accurately and efficiently to required specifications

• Transporting materials, machinery, and equipment between sites

• Navigating and operating safely on active heavy civil construction sites

• Completing daily vehicle checks, logbooks, and maintaining compliance with all transport and safety regulations

• Working closely with Forepersons, Supervisors and Project Managers to keep work flowing smoothly

What We’re Looking For

• Full NZ Class 5 licence

• Proven experience with aggregate spreading, truck & trailer tipping, and general civil cartage

• Demonstrated capability driving on heavy civil sites (roading, 3-waters, subdivisions, major earthworks etc.)

• Strong safety mindset — looking after yourself, your team, and the public

• Ability to work as part of a tight-knit crew, communicate clearly, and get the work done to a high standard

• Reliability, punctuality, and pride in your vehicle and workmanship
