Overview
Senior Accountant role at Colliers. This position leads financial operations and drives strategic decision-making across our New Zealand business units. It offers a leadership opportunity to shape financial outcomes and mentor a small team.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end processes, revenue recognition reviews, and financial reporting
- Deliver insightful analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders across APAC and globally
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, aged debt reviews, and general ledger integrity
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support strategic planning
- Support internal and external audits, including trust account compliance and year-end reporting
- Champion system optimisation and process improvements
- Supervise, mentor, and develop direct reports to enhance their skills and foster a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
Proven experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within a complex, multi-entity environmentStrong leadership and mentoring capabilitiesExpertise in financial systems (e.g., SUN, PAW, TM1) and a passion for continuous improvementExceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skillsCA / CPA qualification (or equivalent) preferredWhat we offer
