The new 6.8km long four lane highway will bypass Te Puna and Bethlehem townships, improving the efficiency and safety of the strategic network, and will support growth in the Minden area.This major infrastructure project, currently in construction, is a Road of National Significance and contributes to building a transport network that enables people and freight to move around efficiently, quickly, and safely.

The project involves 3 million cubic metres of earthworks as well as the construction of 10 bridges, 19 culverts, 8 stream diversions and 7 wetlands.Fulton Hogan is constructing the project in a joint venture with HEB Construction, continuing a long and successful partnership on large projects in the Bay of Plenty.

Our focus aims to also reduce our impact on the environment, and regenerate healthy new ecosystems.
